Oven getting hotter and hotter

Irrespective of what temperature I set, my oven just keeps getting hotter and hotter and everything burns before it's cooked!

It's 20 years old, but I'd rather fix it than replace it if I could.

Any ideas?

    Probably a faulty Thermostat.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Thanks for the speedy response. I have a Creda Europa Solar Plus, which I think is discontinued. Is a thermostat big/small, cheap/expensive?

    Don't know the model myself.

I would look arround for a local "White goods repairer"

    Yes, sounds like the thermostat.

I think you;d be hard put to find one now for a 20 year old cooker so

Yes it's the thermostat, and you may be lucky and find it's a fairly standard part.
