Disadvantages of online back up?
Comments
-
I have hundreds of gigabytes worth of stuff I'd like to keep. How long do you think it will take me to upload all that at my current upload speed of about 40kb/sec?
And then, when I need to access that backup, it will take me a very long time to download it again.
To me, using hard drives is the no brainer. There are so many disadvantages to online backup. Do you know who you're sending your data to? Really?
same here, its the upload speeds that make me use discs/HD's0 -
What happens when the online backup provider goes out of business?
Here's what happened to some people0 -
No internet, no back up retrevial.
There is no guarantee that you can access your backup 24 hours a day seven days a week.
