Hi there,
Can anybody recommend somewhere to get a power adaptor for an Acer Aspire 5630 please? Mine is beeping so I guess needs replacing. I've checked ebay where they're around £8 but I'm not sure sure how reliable that one would be... . Any thoughts? Thank you... .

I think the later Acer adaptors bleep if theres a dodgy connection in the cable. Found out when the cable got crushed under the chair in the kitchen...................................................................0 -

Mmm...so does that mean that it might not be the power adaptor which is broken but the cable instead...?
Which cable is it...? The one from the laptop to the adaptor (I could buy a new one of them) or the one from the power adaptor to the plug (which is attached to the adaptor and in which case I'd have to buy a new adaptor)?
Thanks0 -
Hmm, it wont be the 13A plug to PSU. You may need to replace the low voltage cable only. First inspect for any physical damage to the cord. Any damage would only need chopping out and a local repair to the cable , easy enough to do.0

Okay, thanks. I'll have a look at it, although for £8 I might end up just buying a new one.
This would be okay, wouldn't it? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FOR-19V-4.74A-ACER-ASPIRE-5630-AC-POWER-ADAPTER-BL50-UK_W0QQitemZ280480994120QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=&rvr_id=&cguid=9ef57fe11250a0e204c1b4e1ffd1903d#ht_3096wt_10080 -
