Hi
For a long time I had a laptop with 120gb hard drive, so my itunes has always been sat on an external hard drive, which I plug in when I want to use itunes.
However I have just bought a new laptop with 320gb of space so I dont need to carry the external hard drive around anymore.
Im now on the 6th attempt of trying to get my music off my external hard drive onto my new laptop (seems to be happening) and into itunes (not happening)!
Basically I add all the music from the external drive to the folder marked itunes on the new laptop, but when I open itunes its not there.
Help please!
Thanks
Rich

You need to import the music into iTunes, as it does not automatically scan the music folder. Go into the file menu and select "add to library", choose the folder with the music and let it go. Might take a while to scan the folder if you have a lot of music.0
