I think most built-in ovens are too big to be built-under (I may be wrong). I had a built-in double oven at my old house and the same make and type at my current house and the main oven on the built-under is smaller than the built in.

  • Yes, I agree: built in ovens are pretty much always bigger than built under, so it's a non-starter.

Depends on what the oven is designed where to go, search online to find some instructions.
If you haven't bought one yet, consider a double built under oven that does not require a housing and has adjustable legs that sit on the floor.

  • Ok, thanks for your help everyone.
  • Hello,
Most kitchen cabinets are 720mm tall (excluding the plinth - although IKEA have their own, weird sizes...), so as long as the oven you're thinking of installing is no taller than this, you'll be fine (doesn't matter if its a few mm larger, as long as you don't mind the plinth line being cut into).

it is actually just possible, only if you have the hight under the worktop. my MIL love her built IN and wanted it fitted under. it was tight and had to remove her floor tiles to get it in, then re tiled.
not ideal situation as the main oven is on the floor.

watch out for the bottom door and how it opens, if it is glass right down or has a frame around it.
