Happy Easter everyone.
Tired Mum, hugs for you, but hopefully your DD will make a lot of progress now that has been discovered. Your DS too.
Bitsy, I'm glad your Nan is OK.
I'm making progress with the snood I'm knitting but I'm glad I have this as practise before I start the big project, I surely needed it.
DS (and maybe GF) coming for a meal. I've got an organic turkey breast I bought reduced in Sainsbugs after Chrimbo and plan to have poached eggs for lunch, I bought some eggs on the farmer's market yesterday and they were the best I've tasted since mum stopped keeping chickens. I also bought some sausages to see if they measured up to dad's memories of how sausages used to be in his quest for the perfect sausage.
If any of you know of a sausage that is very tasty and splits its skin in the pan so that the meat goes all crispy I'd welcome any suggestions (I might start a thread on it).
See you later, I'm going to watch the GP now.0 -
Morning All & Happy Easter :easter:
Bitsy so glad to hear your Gran is ok, thanks for asking - spoke to the driver last night & he seems a lot better. Won't be able to sort anything else out till Tuesday. Also have had no news about the man who is in hospital, hopefully no news is good news.
Tired-mum Hello again  Sounds like the new school is so much better.
Where is Diva??
Lovely sunshine here at the moment but not expecting it to stay. Had a lay in and think have caught up with my sleep now thankfully. Will be doing housework this morning, not great for Easter Sunday but I can't bear looking at it anymore.
Will be having sausage butties for lunch and have beef for dinner which was a ys one I picked up from tesco a couple of weeks ago.
Next weeks menu plan has been done though I havn't done it for specific days as will change as we will be going out. Shopping list is already prepared.
Off now to sort out the kids easter eggs - hope they eat them quickly so there is not too much temptation for me.
Have a lovely day all.x0 -

Been umming and ahhing about what to do for pud today and figured after the food mountain that will be dinner these lightweights won't want 'afters' so I think I'll make a Victoria Sponge and add strawberry jam (o0o0o or possibly lemon curd??) and cream and we can have a slice or three this evening as and when the mood takes us.
I need to sort out my cupboards as I'm never sure what's going to fall out when I open the doors at the moment so I figured if I'm getting all my baking ingredients out I might as well do something with them! Off to find Nigella to give me some more inspiration....Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Morning All, Happy Easter:easter_ba
Lazy day I think today. Have a joint of pork to cook probably have a roast dinner laterish but will see how it goes.
I'm not sleeping very well. Since deciding to go back to work I am dwelling on it particularly at night when I get in bed and writing lists in my head:eek: It was 2 before I dozed off last night. Will just be glad once I am back. I hate that anxious feeling in my tummy:(
Will try and get our seeds out today if weather permits. Would have loved a browse around TK's today but I am sure it is shut. Is everywhere closed today??
Anyway need to find somewhere as the boys polished off nearly 4 pints of milk between them last night:mad: really need a cow in the back garden for all the milk and cheese we get through:rotfl:
Have a good day everyone, off to eat chocolate:o it's Easter its allowed!Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Beef in the Slow cooker but its topside so I think it will be tastier roasted and a little bit pink (PLEASE TELL ME QUICKLY IF IT WILL BE BETTER SLOW-COOKED !!!)
I have put mine in the sc to start it off, and hopefully make it tender, will finish it off in the oven later, don't know if this is right, but I hope so
Morning all,
Lovely bright day here, wm doing its thing, will get it out on the line, dd is off out with her dad, so OH and I will do another coat on the ceiling (yawn) and go out for a nice walk.
We have my mum and dads dog here, we had her overnight, my dad's hand has swollen to twice its normal size, and so he cannot walk her, we took both dogs for a long walk in the woods yesterday, and they both had to have a bath when we got home, they were covered in mud, they are all soft and fluffy now
As I said roast beef for dinner with sunnygirls yorkies, I also might make a hot cross bun bread and butter pudding.
Essex girl, I hope all involved are ok xx
Bitsy I hope your nan is ok xx
Tired mum, hugs to you and the kids xx
Have good days all xx0 -
