Credit card application problem

Can someone please advise me.
I am a housewife with no actual income from employment, and think that this may be causing me to be rejected when applying for credit cards. I do however get a monthly allowance from my partner, but prefer the convenience of using a credit card for purchases. When asked I will put my employment status as homeowner but it still sometimes asks me for a monthly income. On the Egg card it did not ask for my employment status but just asked for a monthly income. Should I be putting down the allowance from my partner.
Any advice that will help me get a good credit card would be appreciated.

Try getting a credit card with your current account/savings bank. I got rejected by Morgan Stanley but Natwest approved me online instantly. I am aN 18 year old, living with parents and with no job - £0 income! I believe the fact that i have had a positive bank balance with them for years helped but othrwise I see no reason for them givng me unsecured credit! They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0

I would also like to know if there are any that would possibly accept me, I'm a little fed up with being rejected but people keep telling me to re apply. I've tried my own bank no luck, they said try again, Capital one card, Vanquis and possibly another can't quite remember! My boyfriend gets around 14,000 a year + and I get child b and tax credits, I've got an overdraft too which I haven't been out of for a while but it's only 100.0
