How expensive are 'no sale no fee' solicitors?

I'm going to try and buy a repossession - noone else seems interested but to cover costs if someone outbids me I've heard there are 'no sale no fee' solicitors should someone step in when conveyancing work is underway.

How much dearer are they though? I'm sure they have to recoup their losses.

Is it worth me taking the risk with my solicitor [who wont do nsnf]. I'm a cash buyer and she could get the work done within 3 weeks or so [she has done before and the company will want exchange in 28 days].

As with conveyancing of any sort, you can only ask for quotes and negotiate. some firms will never do NSNF, some will.
The way I did it was to visit several firms and get quotes. Then stress the importance of speed for a reposession and ask what guarantee they could give that they could work fast. If they promised to turn everything round fast I then asked for them to show their commitment to doing so by giving me NSNF (at same price).
Some said no, some wanted the business and said yes.
I then selected a firm that a) was a decent quote b) was nearby so I could pop in to sign things same day and c) gave me NSNF

Note that no sale no fee means the solicitor does not charge for their time, it doesn't mean they don't charge - any out of pocket expenses such as searches will still be payable.

If there was a link I'd think it was spam, but....
