Sky/Royal Mail Vent

I am seriously annoyed with both of these companies!!

I ordered Sky through one of their sales blokes in my local shopping centre. The first sky viewing card never turned up so we ordered another one, thankfully that one showed up. I've called Sky to find out where the other one is and they cant find it. Once we got the phone line activated, we called him back and he said he would get the router sent out. Nothing appeared for a week so I called Sky direct who told me that he'd never even requested it until the day before I called!! They also say they sent out 4 bits of correspondence to welcome me to sky and I have had nothing, not even the re sent ones, which I asked for about 2 weeks ago.

They also sent the router, however delivery was apparently attempted last Saturday, there was no card left in the mail slot or anything. We took the tracking number provided by Sky and it says "held at unknown location" so I visited my local sorting office, to find that they can't find where it's gone to!

Left it for a couple of days, they still can't find it! Have been promised a callback from the manager but this hasn't materialised (I understand it's now a bank holiday etc)

It's just so bloody frustrating! My step dad's lending me a router now ready for the 9th when the internet's due to be turned on, but I shouldn't have to make alternative arrangements. Sky won't send out a new router till they get the other one back, but according to them, the router isn't there and they can't trace it either.

Anyone got any idea's what I could do?

    what does the RM site say to the tracking no.?

    I even tried the Parcel Force website but that doesn't recognise it.

    its a royal mail tracked item
    sounds like someones messed up on the track
    if i were in your shoes i would go to the delivery office and request an 'tracking audit trail print off' regarding your item
    this will show all the tracking the item has had,so you can see for example if it ever went to the delivery office
    if so then kick up a fuss as to where it is

    also bear in mind your other option is to thrown the ball back in Skys court and get them to do the chasing/replacing

    This is really wierd, I had the idea to try and re-track (thinking nothing would have happened over the bank holiday but its worth a try)

    And it now says: Sheffield City 2 DO

    But looking on the RM site, it doesn't say anything about where this is.

    thats a delivery office,i take it you are covered by the S2 postcode area?
