I've just got in and my missus has been out shopping all day.
She has bought me (amongst other things) ........... 3 cotton shirts for work - with ties - for £6

3 cotton shirts for work - with ties - for £6
30 years ago 3 cotton shirts and ties would have been at least a days wages.
Now it's an hours wage.
Disposable income has increased massively over the last few decades, as has standard of living.
