How much will it cost...?

Ah, that's great, thanks. I will phone the letting agents tomorrow and see where I stand, what my tariff is etc. I would jump for joy if my bill was £44 per month as I've been obsessing that it's going to come to over £100!0

I would be amazed if your winter bills are as low as £44 a month, you don't say how long you have been in the property - just this spring? My energy bills are between £30 and £40 year round and this is with barely any heating - 14C in the snow and been off completely since for over two months.
Don't wait for the letting agents, ring around the suppliers with your MPAN (meter) number. As a new customer you will automatically be on the standard (expensive) tariff. Stop using the halogen heater on pricey dayrate electricity - if you need a light buy a lamp and install an energy saving bulb (run a search on the board for free bulbs)! If you are cold turn the input on the storage heaters to high as these you cheap night rate electricity. Turn the output on the storage heaters to low overnight and during the day, then turn the output to high in the evening when you get home. Do not heat your bedroom get an electric underblanket instead as these cost pennies to run.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Hi Firefox,
Thanks for the advice. I only moved into the flat a week ago and I thought I'd just be on whatever tariff the last tenant had. The letting agent hasn't given me any information regarding supplier or electricity at all so I'm at a bit of a loss. Would you recommend an underblanket? I always thought these were pretty expensive to run but would definitely consider one if they're cheap.
Thanks again.0
