Some shameless promotion...

Each year on Easter Monday at Noon, Lymm & District Round Table launch 1000 pedigree yellow racing ducks into Lymm Dingle. After a year being cooped up in plastic crates, the ducks can’t wait to get their feet in the water and some wind in their hair.

There is tension and drama galore as the thousand ducks race for the finish line cheered on by the crowds. There can only be one winner. Which duck will it be?

All profits from the ducky adventure, go to charities and local community groups around Lymm and worldwide.

Lymm Duck Race is organised by Lymm & District Round Table, Reg Charity no 1050251.

If anyone in the North West wants to come along to the Duck Race, it's a fantastic family day out with fairground rides, community run stalls and the big race.

Hi Melanie,

I hope you enjoyed it. It was a great event today. The race went very quickly, it usually takes hours! I'm guessing that we've raised roughly £5000 for charities. One of us is having a fun evening counting cash!!
