Liz Earle owned by Avon

Just a heads up to all who use Liz Earles products ,she has sold her company to Avon so perhaps the ingredients in the products will change to a cheaper version over time and may not be as effective or organic.

  • I'm sorry that she's decided to "sell out" -I am not keen on Avon stuff at all!

Well they apparently already changed the ingredience to the cleanse and polish, many people dislike the newer version. I would have thought its just a marketing thing and that LE would retain the same products but being funded by a newer company. I do have to say I wonder if the quality will remain the same and if it hasn't already changed.

I'd imagine the products would be able to reach more customers this way (global rather then just through QVC and John Lewis) but I do have to say I think she/they are going about it the wrong way. I'd never buy through Avon as I feel its marketed at older women - its still too stereotyped. I also don't see Avon as a natural company and would never consider looking at their stuff as most non natural stuff includes Petroleum oil, parrafin wax/oil and other stuff which brings me out in spots. I think she should have sold to a company who at least shows the same ethics as she has (or used to have.)

I'm a big Liz Earle fan, and when I read the title of this thread I thought it might have been posted a couple of days ago as an April Fool's joke. Avon products, in my opinion are rubbish and not a name you'd associate with Liz Earle.

So why would she sell to them? I've just done a bit of research online, and several sources are saying that she is now one of the richest women in the world as a result of selling her name. One had the headline 'Liz Earle sells her soul to Avon.' I'm disappointed in her - everyone has a price apparently.

Most people who read the forums have known this for weeks.

She Liz says in her blog partnership:rotfl:
But in business news online it said Avon bought Liz Earle for £7,000,000.

So expect the production to move from the UK to the US and Poland.

Liz Earle is not this wonderful earth mother but a business woman someone flashed the cash and she went for it.

Oh and Liz Earle products contain parabens and always have done.

Most products contain parabens, its what gives them shelf life. Its normally things like mineral oil, parafen oil/wax or petroleum that irritate peoples skin (and lanolin, bismuth, sodium laurel, sls.....) I'm not saying parabens don't affect some people but its not normaly top of the list or things to avoid.
  • This had totally put me off - I won't buy her stuff any more - I have found the cleanse and polish to be different and stopped using that a few weeks ago.
