Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Is that 6 hours then a stopover followed by another 6 hour fligth so you take several days to reach NZ?
If so then a RTW ticket might be your best option - though getting from NZ to the US in 6 hours steps might prove problematical (perhaps NZ to Japan, Japan to US?)
I'd have a word with a real travel agent like Trailfinders or STA Travel0 -
1. Uk to Emirates
2. Emirates to India
3. India to Singapore/Malaysia
4. Singapore/Malaysia to Sydney (slightly over 6hrs) If this is too long fly to Darwin instead.
5. Sydney to Christchurch
Some good stopovers there too. Will cost you a fortune though. The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -
It might help if you could explain why the six hour limit?Gone ... or have I?0

Help what? Reduce the distance between countries?
Help find a solution to the problem, if indeed it is a problem? For instance, if the OP does not wish to fly more than six hours for comfort reasons it may be more economical to fly a more direct route in a premium class.Gone ... or have I?0 -
The best way in terms of price is to keep the same airline throughout, when you start to mix the airlines, the price rises. A RTW trip would mix the airlines but keeping within the same alliance - eg Star Alliance - would keep the price reasonable.I am a Travel Agent My company’s ATOL/ABTA numbers are S0466/3973.
