  • we went here the other year, and loved it!!! There are fake robotic dinos around the park my lad was 5 at the time and he belived they were real especially the raptors behind the fake electric fence! There were 2 big dinos 1 a t-rex that turned on at certain times of the hour, watch out for the spitting dino!
The animals were great to see, and you can see the wolves that are on tv with the wolf man. There were wolf cubs when we visited. In the afternoon there was a show on the grass and the kids got to hold/stroke a ferret, owl, dung beetle and snake!
I would defo go back again it was a full day out and thourghly enjoyed. We got leaflets and discount vouchers from the caravan site office where we stayed. I asked them if they knew of any discounts around and they had leaflets behind the counter.
Good luck I hope you enjoy it.

Yes, Coombe Martin Wildlife Park is great. Went a couple of years back and got to go into the lemur enclosure and hold and feed the lemurs which was amazing.

Hope you have sturdy legs; it's on a massive hill. Had a good day out there a few years ago but was knackered after all the climbing :D
  • Don't even consider going if you have young kids or pushchairs. We went last year and lasted half an hour before the kids gave up
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.

I went with my little boy when he was 2 and we had a fantastic day-it is fairly steep but we managed it with a buggy with no problem. The dinosaurs are fab and the zoo is well set out with interesting animals. hope you have a fab time-I love North Devon. Croyde Bay and Woolacombe are well worth a visit-not sure how old your dd is but they run surf lessons for older ones and the little ones love messing round in the rock pool. Combesgate is a beautiful beach but 100 steps down so really not good with a buggy!

  • Hi when you get to Barnstaple pick up a copy of the North Devon Journal, they often have vouchers for days out etc. Went to to wildlife park years ago when my two were small, it was great then but not been since. Watermouth castle is a great day out http://www.watermouthcastle.com/ and The Big Sheep near Bideford http://www.thebigsheep.co.uk/
