Dell, Delivery Times and Small Business - Help!

I hope someone can give me some advice. I know this is technically a "business" question and not a consumer rights issue but I have read some other threads and there appears to be a lot of knowledge out there!
I have a small business (2 staff) and have ordered a new laptop from Dell. It's a new model so when I ordered it I was quite happy to wait. I placed the order online on 7th March and had to chase Dell several times to get the order acknowledgement on 17th March. I never received a satisfactory answer as to why this took so long but it was intimated that it was due to incompatibility with their Wireless Card. I was happy as my laptop had a delivery date of no later than 8th April.
I have received no further communication from Dell but when I checked the order this morning I now have a delivery date of 4th May.
I need the laptop asap now as it's to replace my own that is on it's last legs (wouldn't boot up this morning for example) so have been hanging on for this and am concerned that in another month it may have failed.
What are my rights as a small business with Dell? I know that I can't cancel as per their contract terms for extended delivery as that's just for consumers. I don't want to go and buy one from PC World if my current one dies let alone the impact on my business (providing bookkeeping for small businesses) as I will then end up with two . How long is it reasonable to wait and can they just keep extending indefinitely? They seem they may have issues with the new model.
I have yet to speak to Dell as they don't work weekends but any knowledge of my rights would be much appreciated before I face the phone!
Thanks in advance for all your help and Happy Easter!

Why can't you cancel? I'd write to your cc company, or phone them, to get a recharge refund. Then go to StudentComputers.co.uk who are cheaper and far better customer service.0
