Business dissertation Topic Help Required

Hey guys,

I just can't grasp a dissertation question to base my research on :mad: I want to base it on social networking linked to business.

I know you guys get asked a lot to help, but it would be most appreciated if anyone could make suggestions!

P.S Im studying a business degree, and have submitted a proposal for a weak subject i am ditching, so i am at the stage of just wanting to start the project!

Using Twitter to source new customers? - my husband made a general tweet of complaint about the oven breaking and got a oven parts supplier replying to say if he gave them the make of the oven they'd let him know what part he needed

What sort of literature has already been done on this? You'll need to try to find a gap in this, which I presume shouldn't be too hard since it's quite a new feature. Then you'll need to think of a way that your research can 'add' to what has already been done.

Businesses advertising their products via Facebook?

Pick some businesses in the same line of work, gather research from businesses who advertise via facebook, and ones that don't, and then compare with cost of advertising and how much they make.

Also, you could look at the tools the company uses to track their advertising on Facebook, and if this marketing strategy is viable from business proospective, and if more compnaies will look to social networking sites in the future. Plenty of Qualatititve research and interesting information to look at from this.


You could probably look at it on a wider scale than just Facebook.


Obviously things I have just said, you will probably interpret it differently, or maybe what I have said is complete tosh, but thought I would add my little thought in there anyway.

Just one question, when is your dissertation in for, as people I know have still not got a topic to gathger their research from, and theirs is in for the 30th of April.
