Happy Easter everyone:easter_os:easter_os:easter_os
Quick post for me - just had to share that I just won £5 on the scratchcard:beer:
Lovely day here - am at my Mum's and girls down the road at my sisters. off to the beach later for an ice cream then back here for roast...mmmmmmmmmm
Not much DFW-ness going on but here's a teeny list!!- daily scratch - £5.10 altogether wooohooo:T
- LSD - just ice creams for girls when out
- Try and keep to WW - well, just not stuffing myself would be good:o
- Stepdad is sorting the leak in my car
I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning all :j
It has stopped raining at last! I haven't posted here for ages
, but regularly lurk
. Nice to see the regulars, plus some new posters!
Lol re the gentleman lurkers - there used to be at least one gentleman who posted, I seem to remember. Haven't heard from him for a while. Perhaps he has been lurking like me
Lazy few days off work - I took Tuesday and Wednesday off as leave, and work was closed on Thursday plus holiday weekend :T On the downside, OH has a cold, and I have had a minute by minute update on the symptoms all weekend :rotfl:
Back to work on Tuesday though, and will have to pick up the chaos that will have happened while I have been off
Today I have / will:
Managed to get out and do some bits in the garden - planted shallots and broad beans, planted out new herbs in patio pots and tidied up the old ones that have survived, pruned rose (a bit late I know
), cleaned out chooks and watered salad leaves in greenhouse - oh and started to tidy up the raspberry canes :T Loads still to do, but enough out there for today.
go for a nice walk with dogs and hopefully not get wet
HM soup for lunch - I made a huge pot of roasted pumpkin, red pepper and sweet potato soup yesterday yesterday (yum) - it was such a huge pot in fact that I will have to freeze some!
cook some of Morrisons £7 meal offer for dinner tonight - already eaten some, but have the beef joint and half the veg left. I dug up some leeks from the garden while I was out there, so we can have those with it.
Put nearly dry washing on airer, and put a new load in - my 'posh' black linen frock that I wear for work things at posh hotels (sounds v. glamorous my job, but I can assure you it is not!!)
Iron black frock when dry
Pack up last ebay sale from the things I listed last week, made about £50 on stuff that has been collecting dust for ages, so that was good - must get more accurate re postage though, as some cost more than I estimated . I am new to ebay
- but made a profit, and decluttered some junk, so all good :T
Can't think of anything else at the moment - have a lovely day everyone :beer:0 -
Hello! I popped in earlier and wasn't sure whether to post on yesterday's thread or to start a new one - so I just mooched off again waiting for someone else to decide!
I'm glad we're here though because writing my list really helps me to get things done.... here's mine- Walk dog for free exercise - done one just before the downpour, 2 more to go today
- Write 1 lesson plan - done
- Do a job application - its a job that I do really want so should spend a fair chunk of time getting it perfect
- Write a 500 word proposal - I know what I want to write I just have to do it!
- Do a wash and dry naturally - done
- Maybe wash the towels if the weather improves
- Change the bed
- Give OH his easter pressies - half price Ferrero Rocher (his favourite) and a £2 Creme Egg egg - he loves choccie so should be happy with that!
- Hoover house
- OH making yummy veggie indian banquet for me for tea - sweet potato curry, naan bread, onion bhajis, samosas and chana masala - can't wait! Its a sacrifice for him as he's a big meat eater but will do veggie once every blue moon
- Have a NSD - am really trying for one today
January grocery spending - £82.73/ £1200 -
Morning everyone, happy easter! I hope ts not too much of a challenge to not over-indulge in the chocolate
, luckily I haven't got any so should be easy for me
Oh is actually laying the last bits of the flooring, so it'll finally be over in an hour or so :T! opps just went downstairs and enquired what he had actually done since I'd been upstairs, not the behaviour someone who isn't actually helping should employ
Today I will:- [STRIKE]make up meal plan/shopping list for week[/STRIKE]Done, still using up things in freezer/stores but they will deplete rapidly now have another (almost) man in the house
- [STRIKE]go shopping (if supermarkets are open?) - STICK TO LIST[/STRIKE] they're all shut!

- [STRIKE]make some soda bread using recipe I just found on the old style board
[/STRIKE] - [STRIKE]cook roast herby chicken nd all the trimmings for dinner[/STRIKE]
- make hobnobs while chicken is in the oven

- [STRIKE]go to oh's parents and borrow their vacuum while they're on holiday
(really have to either try to get asda to replace broken one or buy/freecycle one very soon)[/STRIKE] vacuumed top floor (OMG it was such hard work and SOOOOO dusty after months of no vacuum
), waiting until kitchen floor is finished before doing bottom two... - [STRIKE]change bedsheets, wash on 30, nd hang indoors[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]polish bedroom, lounge & bathroom (housework is a trade off for not doing the floor
as is the cooking as well)[/STRIKE] - [STRIKE]if the weather picks up might go for a walk
[/STRIKE]

Happy Easter all! :easter_ba
Hope everyone is having a lovely day. Me and DH were supposed to go to a family BBQ tonight but sadly the family in question are having a lot of dificulties with their marriage so we have decided not to go
Very sad
But have had nice day so far - and a cosy night in with DH now planned!
My list:- DH's family visited, arrived at 10am and left at 2pm
- Went for a lovely long walk on the beach with them - pup absolutely loved it!
- M-in-law bought sausage and chips for everyone - oopps to SW for the third day running
Don't worry though folks - I love it and am doing too well to give up, just having a three day holiday!
- DH bro lent him two x-box games - free entertainment for DH
- Have a light healthy tea - throw together some bits from the fridge
- Have decided to definately try and sell DH motorbike on e-bay - our first attempt at selling! Going to take pictures tomorrow and put it on - it's gone all grey and rainy here now
- Do couple of hours uni reading while DH plays x-box
- NSD
- Jonathon Creek tonight

- Do a little list of things to do tomorrow - need a good productive day
