What benefits are we entitled to?

Hi

Just found out my wife is pregnant and would like to know what benefits we will be entitled to, I earn £29,000 per annum and my wife earns £34,000 per annum, My wife will be off work for a year and I woulf like to know how much money if anything we can expect a month?

I would have thought that due to the salary level your both on any assistance would be low. I'm sure somone else can advise you of maternity benefit etc. Also don't forget to look into partenity leave so that you can have paid time off to care for baby

£63,000 combined income would get you £20 child benefit and maybe a very little child tax credits.

Just over £10 per week child tax credits and £20 per week child benefit as above.
