Afternoon everyone
Had areally lazy moning here, DS2 at his dads and DS1 stopped at his friends so just me here, its so quiet. Weather looks nice and bright though hope it lasts.
wm on again, sandwiches for lunch. Need to pop to Mr t for some bits, but dreading going. Did an hour in the garden yesterday and also sorted out a basket of paperwork, managed to get rid of most of it. Will try and get out into garden today for a while, makes me feel so much better. Will also be continuing decluttering.
Celyn - Hope your sister is happy in her new home.
Snoozer - Hope you manage to give up work early.
Molly41 - your Italian sauasage bake sounds wonerful, would you share the recipe please.
JackieO - A member of my famly has traced my mums side back to about the 1700. I would like to trace my dads side, I know a little bit, he found out he had a half sister when he was 18 and was left some money by a grandparent. Both his parents apparently died when he was young(possibly killed themselves from what I have been told). he was brought up seperate from his brother with an Aunt & Uncle. I know that his mum used to work on the buses in York and she was originally from Wales.
Bitsy - I know wht you mean about the Gym, but the time my son is in bed I don't even manage the Wii fit.
Enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.

Afternoon everyone :hello:
Another fleeting visit from me.Work is still going brilliantly and we are settling into a routine which is enabling me to keep up with all my voluntary work too. I was working today and will be tommorrow but have Monday and Tuesday off so will hopefully get a day out somewhere. Yesterday I managed to get all my seedlings potted on and I cleared out the greenhouse and mulched the raised beds. Had muffins baked this morning before work and need to make omlettes for tea as the hens are still laying eggs faster than I can use them so at last count there were 34 eggs in the bowl.
Easter dinner will be leg of lamb with all the trimming and pavlova for pud.
I hope everyone is well and belated birthday wishes to anyone I have missed.
Happy Easter everyone :EasterBun:easter_ba:icotbaske:easter_os:easter:There is no law of trespass in Scotland, so you can walk anywhere. The 2003 Land Reform Act did establish certain access rights but there are a great number of places where access is denied and where you can be prosecuted for trespass.

Hello Everyone
Not a great Easter holidays here so far, was woken at 1am this morning by OH as one of our drivers had had a bad crash in London, he was ok & minimal damage to the lorry but the other person came off a lot worse. Without going into too much detail it sounds like it wasn't our drivers fault - some was being forcibly ejected from a pub and ended up in the road right in front or our lorry. Anyway we needed to get our driver home as he was suffering badly from shock & the police have taken the lorry away. I know our lorry is properly maintained and we abide by the drivers hours rules totally.
Did manage to get our at lunchtime for my Dads birthday meal, it was nice and took our mind off things.
I am absolutely exhausted, house is a tip, ironing pile is about to tip over and there is washing wet in the machine from yesterday but none of it really matters in the bigger scheme of things.
So going to have an early night & catch up tomorrow, if the weather is nice hope to get the kids out somewhere tomorrow afternoon.
(((hugs))) to anyone who needs one, speed read the thread so hope I didn't miss anything major.x0 -

Hello Chums ,
just had some of my delicious S/Cooked lamb from yesterday.I portioned some up, and had a large portion in my freezer with a slightly smaller one in the fridge. When my DD turned up this morning she said what have you been cooking the house smells lovely. When I told her about the Lamb she wheedled the larger frozen portion out of me along with two small individual Sheppards pies for her and her families dinner tonight, and I divided the portion in two that was in the fridge, and put the rest in to freeze before I ate the lot:).It was gorgeous, so for £2.00 I have made five dinners. The gravy that was left in the SC I have cooled and put in the freezer in a zip-up bag for a later time. There's no doubt who ever invented a slow cooker should get a medal.Pays for its self over and over again, I have two small Lambs Shanks in the freezer that I will cook later on this month with the gravy that I had left over today as its full of rosemary and all sorts of lovely flavours.:j
I have been pottering about this afternoon and generally having a bit of a lazy day.The weather has turned quite dark and damp and I didn't manage to get my washing out for long as it kept spitting with rain, still I can put it on the Airer to finish it off.Tomorrow I am off to youngest DDs with easter eggs for the children. NSD's so far this month I'm shopping from my cupboards as two weeks today I'm off to the Cotswolds for a week so I am running down my fridge a bit.
Not lot on T.V. tonight so I may have an early night with my library book, its an odd one, but I can't put it down its called 'Beyond Black' by Hilary Mantel and I'm quite enjoying it.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and doesn't eat too much chocolate
