    Hamish's link to the statistics show rises have actually been 'good' in my area. I looked at Dec 2003 and Dec 2009 and was surprised how much this area had increased in relation to other areas of Scotland. I am no good at percentages so can't work out if Clackmannanshire or Aberdeenshire have fared better over the period.

    House prices don't mean much to me I bought my house for a lowish price in Dec 2002 and have paid off the small mortgage. I like it here and have no reason to sell. However I am not sure this is indeed good news for my daughter who is just turning 18. When she comes to buy a house it will simply be harder for her.

    Yep, pretty much stagnating at the moment. Last 4 months of land registry shows a slight drop. Reasonably priced houses are selling but others are starting to stick.

    There also seems to be a lot of property up for rent here. How does that compare your way?
