had an abbey credit card with £5k limit, recently paid off with balance transfer from Egg.

How long would I have to wait before i could apply for another abbey card?

Egg credit limit is £5.5k and would like one for £7.5K

Why do you want another Abbey card? There are lots of other cards out there. If you want to stay with MBNA (who run Abbey's card) then apply for one of the other cards they run e.g. Virgin. They are often willing to transfer your credit limit from one MBNA card to another if you ask.

No, it's in the terms and conditions that they won't transfer a balance between MBNA cards. However you can have as many MBNA cards as you want at any one time. We have many customers who have all the different Abbey cards, using each one for different things.

I think Reaper meant to transfer the Credit Limit ie the amount you can spend up to on your card, not tansfer a balance of money.

Have you cancelled the card as well as paying it off ?

yes deemy ive cancelled it too, ive read on this fourm y it is important to cancel all unused cards so even tho its just been cancelled is there nothing stopping me from getting another abbey of mbna card straight away it looks like i can so iam off to apply for another card
