Hi moneysavers. I wanna drive from birmingham to london and back on saturday night to see a west end show. The show is too late to catch a train back so i was thinking of parking at a London underground station and getting the tube in. There's so many tube stations but i have no idea how accessible they are, so i was looking for top tips on the best station for me to use, with safe and possibly freebie local parking please?

Hillingdon Station on the A40 would be fine, either park in the station or there is parking closeby on local streets.. or South Ruislip 5 mins from A40 and has a car park which has a nice hotel right next door with free parking .. both stations are good for getting to town...

Or if you are coming down the M1 rather than the M40, then Stanmore is a few minutes from junction 4.

    Hi There,
I live in central London - on the weekend there is free parking around Eccleston Sq/St George's Drive in Pimlico (in fact most of Pimlico is this way) - you can only enter the road from Buckingham Palace Road heading out of town but you can also enter from the river as well (road called Claverton St off Grosvenor Rd which is along the river)...then you can hop onto a tube at Victoria or walk into the West End...no congestion charge on weekends either!

Might be better if you want to stop out after the show because the bus runs all night to Victoria Station...
