Hoping you guys can help. I am looking to decorate my 5 yr olds room, he is star wars mad, however his room is rather small 8ft by 7ft.
I have found some fab wall art on Ebay that i want to get but not sure what to do with the walls. His room always seems cold so want to try and warm up how it looks, was thinking of painting one wall midnight blue with maybe glitter or stars on, but not sure about the other walls or even if this would work.
He currently has a pine and blue cabin bed in the room which I want to keep but have thought of painting to lighten up the room.... so confused about what to do and of course it needs to be moneysaving, so any ideas?

Blue is a difficult colour to get right. It can be really cold.
My son's room is north east facing and gets no sun. I painted his main wall an aubergine colour and one adjacent wall I papered in a silver wallpaper. The other two walls are cream.
The night sky idea sounds good, but I wouldn't do the other walls blue."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Did my nephews room like a space ship, just went looking for anything and everything that was unusual shapes, tV and radio parts, egg boxes, packaging, bread trays, and cut to fit the wall after spraying silver and black, glued and screwed to MDF sheets (outside) and glued on the whole wall with spray foam after feeding xmas lights through holes here and there. Whole project £30. Wish I had taken pictures but he's 18 now, so it all went in the skip.0

Here are some links for star wars themed bedrooms that might provide some inspiration (even for just the colour schemes):

I particularly like the star filled sky idea for the ceiling in the last link.

Cor! Never mind kids decorating ideas, I wouldn't mind this on my own bedroom wall! (top picture)

Pimento, I love that and think it wold look great as a feature wall, but not for Harrisons room its too small oh and the small matter of me not being that creative, it would look a splodgy mess :rotfl:'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0

I used to have glow in the dark sticker and plastic stars / planets when I was a kid - that was pretty cool as I used to stay up and look at them at night time! depending on the bedroom you could keep the walls light but paint the ceiling mid-night blue or just a feature wall as you said.
Sea Sponge is great to get an effect similar to the look of the milky way and isn't expensive to buy.
Ebay has some decals / murals which you could use on the wall if you didn't want to paint it yourself?- just search for 'star decal' or 'star mural' and there are loads of room stickers with the star wars / space theme! (Storm Trooper wall sticker for about £7, stars from £2!)
EDIT: The stickers work great, I have them in my own house and look lovely for a good price:)Wins so far:
