when i bought kaspersky internet security 2010 it had some issues. i remember seeing somewhere here the best way to deal with it was to install a newer version from their website. i did so but i installed it over the older version instead of removing the older version first. i still get some issues with it and i read that it could be due to installing the newer version over the older version.
so does anyone have the link for installing the newer version and this time i will delete the installed version first. i cant find it myself. i just get pages asking me for money.
i will be able to download the latest version before uninstalling the current version on the system wont i? i dont want to be downloading from the net with no security installed.

1st thing, turn on or make sure windows firewall is turned on. Windows xp? Your pc will be safe enough so long as you just connect to Kaspersky.

Download and save the correct version to an easy place to find, your desktop maybe?

    http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/kis_latest_versions

Next remove Kaspersky using add/remove programmes.

Reboot the PC then install the downloaded version.

PS When you remove it normally asks if you want to keep the license key data etc. If you do it will add the key in automatically when you put the new version on.

Out of interest I have used Kaspersky for years and am still using Version 2009 as V2010 seems to slow my machine. You can download that version if you wish from the link above.

    Hope this helps...
