Moving a central heating boiler?

I am currently thinking of changing my central heating boiler and moving it. Is it an expensive job? I would need a new boiler and unfrtunately all 8 radiators replaced as no thermostats on them.

Anybody got any advice?

You can retrofit thermostats easily

As bryanb says, the Thermostats (TRV's) can be fitted without changing the rads. A boiler replacement can be anything from £1200 - 3000. Moving it is an unknown quantity. Depends on how far its moving, pipe runs, access to gas supply etc.

This may or may not help! It cost me £950 for the following: moving the boiler from the back bedroom down to the kitchen; moving a radiator to the opposite wall; all the plumbing for a new kitchen (inc. radiator, gas supply, sink, washing machine).

As said above, you can fit trv's to the old rads, but you don't have to.

Without seeing the job only a very rough idea can be given on cost, but I would expect it to be around £2000
