Why dont they give the right electricity/gas information

For a simple concept to compare price of electricity they never tell the truth

Just we need to compare the how much they charge per KW(1000w) for the first x units and if it is more than that how much per hour for kw.

very simple chart that will do all the comparison rather asking about how much you spend for month and all the history

e.on 10p/Kw upto 100Kw after that 15p/Kw

So you are saying none of them give useful information?
    Amazing.

Or is it that you would like the information presented differently?

I really cannot think that anyone here can resolve your issue on behalf of them.

Have you asked them for their thoughts?

It can be better, Most of the system currently we use are not good.

I'm not sure who to inform this, But just want to make awareness of this to everyone, May be someone think about taking correct action. It looks silly talking something different. But this one needs to be addressed by OFCOM or and everyone.

I asked the same question somewhere on here ages ago. I'd love it if price comparison websites at least gave you the option to search by unit cost rather than entering all the details, as you say. If you wanted to find out if a tin of beans was cheaper in Tesco, Asda or Sainsbury, you wouldn't have to write down how many tins you eat every month, how many people in your household eat beans and who you're currently buying them from. Why should electricity be any different? If supplier X has cheaper units than supplier Y, I'll go with supplier X. (Yes I know it's not quite that straightforward if there's standing charges etc involves but still - as I say - the simple option to view unit prices rather than their weird and usually wildly incorrect annual spend estimates would be nice.)

Thanks for your reply, I'm really happy at least i can see there are few people out there thinking ahead, the problem is until everyone is asking these companies will never change, till the time people would think about us with funny and make of fun, ignore that one, please raise your voice, at least in 10 years time everyone will understand what we talk today.

All you need to do is input your kWh/yr consumption into the comparison site and it will give you the costs for each supplier. The simple p/kWh unit cost figure is totally meaningless in the current market.

May be the meaningful way they can convert if not in kw/hour. But most of comparsion web sites have a deal with providers. They compare the cost against with their useless figure and ask people to transfer to get some money on that rather than simple chart to tell the true price.
