I'm curious, are the folks who are logging in every day typically performing a transaction of some sort, or simply checking that their money is still there?

We have money going in approx twice a week, so often I'm swapping money into my savings acct (stops us spending it on a whim) to budget for when the DD's come out.

Where I can, I am overpaying the mortgage.

I would naturally pick up any fraudulent transactions.

Mainly it keeps me focused on the need to be careful to help us meet our goals.

I check mine at least daily even if i've not used the account or expecting any credits/debits, mainly to check that nothing dodgy is going on !!

I have 10 accounts that I circulate money through for various perks eg. halifax rewards, a&l 0% overdraft etc. I have direct debits in a few of them so I can take advantage of switching deals when they come up so I check at least once a day to make sure I don't mess up!

Most days - especially if something is due to go out just to check all is ok with it. I check OH's for him as well - I manage his account for him and he has DD's going out all the time so I check to make sure all is ok with them.

I used to do it once or twice a month but then I was a victim of credit card fraud so now I check my accounts online as a daily routine. About getting text alerts that would be great but I don't get any signal on my mobile at home.

Mum thinks I'm becoming OCD about it.

I check mine almost every day. I have a Halifax Reward account you see and I need to check it every day to make sure I don't go over my overdraft limit and get charged £1 a day, like I stupidly did the other day. My phone bill went out and I was really busy that day, so I didn't check my account and I'm going have to pay £1 for not checking my account!
