Cheapest Place to have number plates made?

Hi

I need to buy two replacement number plates for my car and I have noticed the price in Halfords are really expensive and mainly supply fancy looking number plates. I only want a pair of standard font and standard spaced number plates.

Any ideas on the best deals?

I went to a local independant motor shop. They charged me around £16 for both back and front, which was a bargain, and they made a good job of it too. + They didn't have a huge logo of their company advertised on my plates, their advert was tiny, which was another bonus.

As alot of questions, have a look on eBay.

Got my last set from there, they were cheaper than all the locals and online shops.

i highly recommend www.fancyplates.com their "legal" plates are very good quality and cheaper than halfords and the like, plus they don't need to check your documents

Can view the plate online and add all sorts of details, i.e. Country strip, borders, background, etc

Cheap and good delivery - I recently had one made for my bike, took 2-3 days for delivery.
