    Just ordered a Dell Studio 1747 from Dell Outlet store:

    17.3 inch screen
    Intel Core i7 (1.6ghz - 2.8ghz)
    500 gb hard drive
    4gb Ram
    1gb video card (Radeon 4650)
    2mp webcam
    9 cell battery

    £605 delivered.

    There are lots of alternatives on offer some good prices on inspiron 1545 starting at £235 with Core 2 Duo chips 2gb ram and 320 gb hard drives. Almost netbook money.

    Might be worth a look.
