My Whirlpool oven is displaying "stop" after the power to it was turned off. In the past I would hold down the middle button (as instructed in the manual) to reset the unit but this is not working and it still displays "stop".
The model is "Whirlpool Generation 2000+ 6AKZ452IX". Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Jim.

As you've done this before I'm assuming that you have turned the left knob to the dash before pressing the black button?0

good thread. followed the advice but still no joy so I have taken it to bits to try to get the button to work and unfortunately it fell to pieces, however I did press together what remained and it worked ! The oven is now on. no clock, but no £120 repair bill either. Thanks for your advice. Jim.0
