orange wireless and talk

I have had the wireless and talk for about 8 months, only had it connected to my OLD laptop.....works fine!! bit slow but ok.

my mum gave me her newish desk top pc this week so thought i would add that to the wireless connection as it is in the dining room where the is no phone socket to use the ethernet cable.

before trying it i rang orange and asked if i would be able to do this, they said yes. I have 2 of their wireless adapters.

however, after 2 hours of trying to put it on the pc using the disc provided i could only get as far as it trying to "detect the adapter"

then a message kept coming on screen saying "ERROR ADAPTER NOT DETECTED"

i then rang orange back and explained the problem.....only to be put on hold twice for ages while the so called technical assistant asked a collegue for help!! tick tock!!££££££££'s

he then came back and said my usb port might need updating, and should take it to a pc shop to get it checked.....more £££££'s!!! but i was not convinced as the pc is fairly new and as i said it works fine on my OLD laptop!

does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of how i could sort this out without wasting more time and money with orange's USELESS TECHNICAL ASSISTANTS!!

thanx

If you go to this page and type how to connect a wireless adapter to your Livebox you should find their help pages on this. You need to install the Driver for the USB adapter before connecting it to the PC.

Try also entering how to connect additional PCs and laptops to your Livebox
