Yorkshire Bank-- has any one had any joy?

Hiya

I wrote the Yorkshire bank back in Oct regarding PPI that I felt was misold. Had a letter back saying tough in not so many words and that they had investigated and was not going to make the refund. Have sent details to FOS. Letter came backfrom them stating that it could beup to 6 months before results and that someone would contact me within 1 month.
Has any one had any success with Yorkshire bank regarding PPI insuranc and if so how long did it take and did you go via the FOS?

Hi estimator,
I claimed against the Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire's sister bank, and was rejected in a similar manner, except I didn't go to the FOS, which you have, I'm sure you'll get there in the end, but the FOS is overrun with claims and they will get there, best to carry on and wait for them, and chase up by email or phone calls every month or so, read some of the other threads where FOS has been involved and the success stories that will give you hope.

I would also check on the above success thread as well if you get some time.;)
I take it that the bank gave you the final decision then in order for you to move on to the FOS?

I am currently waiting to hear as my ppi case is currently with an adjudicator at FOS. Yorkshire Bank just keep sending "we are dealing with your complaint blah blah blah " so I referred it anyway. Will let you know how it goes !

Finally after 5 months I have received YB final decision re missold loan ppi.
They have basically said that they cannot prove whether it was/wasn't missold due to time frame and have offered me ex gratia payments of £432.60, £107.98 & "658.09 on the various loans. Needless to say I am going to pursue the matter via Financial Ombudsman and not settle. I think the fact they have offered me some money is promising. Though I want the full amount refunding obviously!

In october last year Clydesdale Bank paid all the PPI owing , thanks to the FOS intervention. I received almost £8000 ! :j
