Looks like ours did when we moved in. We had so little money we could not afford to stay renting whilst we did it up. This resulted in me steaming off wall paper at one end of the kitchen whilst friends painted at the other end - so much steam we had to open all the windows

We had no sink to start with so I washed up in the bath! We could eat any food you could make in a microwave - or by boiling the kettle.
