need mortgage fast

Hi i have wee baby twins and need to sell up and buy bigger house, we have lots of equity in our home, i wanted to have a mortgage in place before i started the whole selling process,we have a good finanacial advisor but i have been turned down for mortgages. I think the reason is, when i was on mat leave i made an arrangment to reduce my mortgage payments for a few months this took me to be in arrears of just over one months payment, i then increased my payments to pay back this, but it was showing on my credit file as missed payments and arrears, which it was really not it was an agreed arrangment. I have contacted the abbey but they have said this is how it looks even though it was not missed payments, i have now paid enought of the arrears to add the remainder to the end of my morgtage but not sure that this will help, the other thing showing on my file is i am paying back an overdraft with halifax, the arrangment was up in december but the monthly payments still were paid and a new agreement was put in place in feb, but this is showing as 3 months missed payments even thought the payments were actually made, i have contacted halifax abouth this getting amended. But i need a mortgage i am despreate to get a bigger house to accomadate the babies ever growing stuff, Who is the best mortgage company for people with not the best credit score.
sorry for the long boring post.
