Hi. Have you got lots of photo's of her,you and other friends? You could go and get a nice photo albumn and make one up for her - with little hand written captions and things.Member 105 of 1% at a time - 23/100 :j0

A bunch of flowers? Not the most long lasting gift, but I consider even the smallest bunch an extravagant luxury! I very rarely buy them for myself, so it's extra nice when someone buys them for me.
How about a plant? lasts a bit longer than the flowers.
Some nice girly toiletries/cosmetics from boots? There must be something in the sale right now.
Accessorize is always good for girly sale bargains - I've bought scarves, bags etc for presents at a fraction of the full price in there.
Champagne? Usually one of the supermarkets has a bottle for around a tenner. Check out fixture ferrets or quaffers offers websites to find one.
*Edit: Morrisons have a bottle for £9.89 on offer*
If you're really skint why not make her a CD of all the music you used to listen to at Uni - I'm guessing mid 90's, so there's loads of cheesy (& great!) music from that era.0 -
It's my 30th in a few weeks :-(. Here are some suggestions of things I would like....and which I hinted for...:-)... and which are cheap (the rest of the things I hinted for are expensive)
Next - perfumes - can get some nice fragances for a fiver. They also do other accessories and things - I'm sure you could find something for under a tenner.
New Look - Pop in and see if you can get a wee handbag/purse or even a small t-shirt top.
Bottle of alcohol - always goes down well :-)
Beauty voucher - sure a manicure costs under a tenner.
And - if your stuck - and I've done it before....Buy a card, stick some stratch cards/lottery tickets in it. I've done this three times before and twice the tickets have been winners.0 -
or...pop into ASDA/George and get a funky jewellery set.0

How about £10 worth of lottery tickets for the next 10 weeks, a pressie that lasts ages then and could be a winer0

Hi,
can't take the credit for finding this site cos it was posted on another board on MSE a few days ago but can't find the original thread to link it to, however the OP had got a song written and recorded for a present, the site was http://www.prairiedogsongs.co.uk/pdogshop.htm and if you scroll down to "Personalised Songs" they cost £5 and according to the original thread they were excellent, all you have to do is provide them with some details of the person you want it written for and they will do the rest. I bookmarked the site myself because I thought it would make a highly original prezzie for someone.
Hope this helps.

I always put a £1 lottery lucky dip in birthday cards for friends. Also, could you perhaps make her some tablet or fudge and a nice bottle of wine or even get a cheap bottle of vodka and make strawberry or raspberry vodka?Jane
