Problems with PayPerParcel

OK, so heres the story.

Booked a collection from my house, given a time slot of between 9:00AM and 5:00PM.

My partner drops kids off at school but is always back at 9:00AM, especially if a parcel is been picked up!

She gets home and a few minutes later finds a card through the front door (we don't use the front door for going in and out).

She calls the number on the card but it is an answer phone.

I called PayPerParcel, the company we paid to organise the collection, but I was told I would have to pay again as an attempt had been made. I told them the collection was made outside of the alloted time. They contacted DHL who said the driver came at 9:15.

I have a print off of my telephone calls showing the number left on the missed collection card was dialled at 9:07AM from the home landline, and pointed out to them it takes a couple of minutes to walk up our cul-de-sac road therefore proving beyond reasonable doubt the collection could not have been made after 9:04AM.

PayPerParcel aren't budging, is it now reasonable for me to write letters threatening to take them to the small claims court for the £14 lossed through all this?

That's still a four minute window when the company can say they attempted delivery, so I don't think you've got a case.

I had a problem with DHL lying to payper parcel before regarding a collection from a family members workplace and know they were there.

Basicly DHL said that they had attempted collection but they had not even attempted to collect.

I contacted payperparcel and thankfuly they resolved the problem and booked it in for collection again.

Payperparcel's response has been very bad. Simply taking the word of the delivery guy over mine.
Do you think I've got any ammunition in the fact they say he attempted delivery at 9:15AM. The did not even say 'around 9:15', which would still require a devience of 10mins. And for clarity, my partner was in from 9:00AM, its the timing of the phone call that proves they can't have attempted delivery later than 9:04AM
