in Credit cards
Hi,
My father has a Halifax Credit card which minimum payment is due by 06/04 (next tuesday).
What will be the best way around it that they receive the payment by the due date?
Option:-
1). My father has a Halifax Current Account - arrange a transfer to the Credit Card
2). Pay it in halifax branch on saturday - does it make any different if its a agency?
Thanks
MS

Whatever way depending on Halifax but most bank will need 3/4 working days to process payment. Why not speak to Halifax, give them a call & explain. Otherwise he might get a late payment fee of £12.00 on his credit card0

Paying in cash at a Halifax branch should be ok right up to the due date, but the sooner the better. The payment may show on the statement a day late but should be credited for value on the day it was paid, as required by the Payment Services Regulations 2009.
Sorry, no idea about cash paid in at an agency.0 -
And just to repeat the advice given to many other folks, suggest to your your father that he set up a Direct Debit for the minimum amount then this situation will not arise in the future. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
