As far as I remember, most Leeds B Soc offers are valid for 3 months, so it is unlikely that they will honour the rate in January, but as MM says, it is worth checking with them before applying to them or elsewhere.
As far as they go as a lender:
OK service, reasonably flexible underwriting, have gone from being one of the worst redemption overhang culprits to offering some ok products with reasonable service. In other words - not the best, but by no means one of the bad guys.I am an IFA (and boss o' t'swings idst)You should note that this site doesn't check my status as an IFA, so you need to take my word for it. Yep, the old Leeds & Holbeck used every trick in the book - compulsory insurances, extended tie ins etc etc.
Not that they were ever cowboys, just very shrewd in their pricing. Their products are a lot more transparent now and I do not have any problems recommending them, they just don't fit for my clients as often as some.I am an IFA (and boss o' t'swings idst)You should note that this site doesn't check my status as an IFA, so you need to take my word for it. Do you know if they offer free legal, valuation and things like that. If not do you know how much it is for legal fees on a remortgage roughly.
Yes they do but not on the Fixed rate you have chosen.
They do on the Fee Free version of the 10 year Fixed rate at 5.49% (6.1apr) so on this rate you would save Val Fee up to £335.00 up to £250.00 legal fees and £599.00 completion fee so you have to balance these savings with the difference in rate of 0.5% over the ten years. After all the searching life is what i make it!0 -
I popped into the Leeds this week, about ISA's - apparently they are merging with the Mercantile BS - don't know what difference this makes, but thought you may like to know!0
