Leeds Building Society

Has anyone had any dealings with these, am thinking of taken out a mortgage with them and wondered what people's experience with them was. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

They are very good, in my experience as a broker. However they have some new fixed rates coming out on Friday, they have reduced them so rates you'll get today are not as good as fridays, assuming you are on a fixed rate.

Just another quick question Barney088 if you don't mind regard Leeds Building Society.
Do you know if they offer free legal, valuation and things like that. If not do you know how much it is for legal fees on a remortgage roughly.

Was thinking of going for the 10 year fixed, so I know my monthly payments won't go up. Kids on the way, need that security.

10 years is a long time to fix in for, but I can see your reasons.

Britannia BS have a 10 yer fixed at 5.24% 499 fee no overhang.

Leeds is 10 yr fixed at 4.99%, £599 fee. Plus the rates are at a very low rate at the moment and can only see them going up so thought I'd fix for a long period of time. Do you know if I apply now for they'll still honour it in January.

depends when your mortgage offer is sent, best ting to do is give them a quick ring and ask if they expect completion within 3 months of offer or six months. if it's six you will be OK, if three, think about using another lender as they will only make you reapply for a different product after three months (and you may have to pay for valuation etc)

You donlt have to apply to make an enquiry, is this for a purchase or a remortgage?
