Lycos announced today that their beta email service now offers 3 GB of storage and allow attachments of “essentially unlimited” size to be sent and received.
(From Techcrunch)
Don't think I'll be changing from Gmail as my main account, but the unlimited attachment size looks interesting - but you have to use the account at least every 30 days.

Sounds fine for Lycos, but mail servers throughout the internet have limits on the size of attachments, so in practice I would think that there will be little change. Unless both parties use Lycos, of course!

Everyone will keep a Lycos account to send/recieve big attatchments. For people to actually use it for email Lycos will have to come up with something big to compete with the already established providers.0
