Item lost in post

Hi, was wondering whether anyone can give me some advice. I sold two bottles of beauty cream a couple of weeks ago on ebay and sent them off as usual 1st class. The next day, I was notified by one of the buyers that they had received but after about 5 days, the other buyer contacted me saying that they still hadn't got hers. it's quite clear that it's been lost in the post and i shall be refunding the money but would it be possible to claim from royal mail or ebay for the seller fees? first time this has happened so not sure what to do, thanks for any help.

  • I doubt if you'd be able to get your ebay fees refunded. You will also have to wait till 3 weeks (15 working days, not 15 days as some people think) from the posting date to claim a refund from Royal Mail. I hope you have a certificate of posting.
