I would have thought your best bet would be to go to Ford and ask if they can programme the fobs for you. I wouldn't imagine its the ecu as most cars tend to have a seperate unit which controls alarm system/central locking. We had a similar problem with a Rover we had, we had to take it to Rover to programme as they were the only ones with the right equipment to do this. We now have an Audi and have the same problem with one of the fobs, we have to take this to Audi to programme. We have tried some of the programming ways people sell on ebay and none worked.0

thx for the reply... this car has been a pain in the a** with central locking gremlins which ive read all about on-line with numerous people having the same problem but no one seems to have had any probs reprogramming.. mine wont recognise another remote or even cancel my remote.. dont wanna spend loads of money on this just hoping for a quick cheap fix.. the sparks who looked at mine has done loads of these including my mums fob the other day and not had any probs so he does know what he's doing0

The ford focus is a manual remote program so no real need to take it anywhere, are they genuine remotes or chinky copys?0

its a genuine remote0

Turn your ignition on and off quickly 6 times in 10 seconds you should hear a bong press the lock button on each remote that you want to program then turn off the ignition. job done0
