Virgin and Mint PPI What to do first

Hi All

On a role now after getting refund of PPI from Bank of Scotland on a Sainsbury's loan so thought I might as well keep it going with something I have been meaning to do for ages.

I have had a Mint and a Virgin credit card for ages and like most people on here cant remember how I signed up for the PPI but think both cards were taken out on line, I am also still paying the PPI so I suppose the first question is do I cancel while claiming?
The second question is I only have records going back a year as I tend to shred anything over that so do I request a SAR in the first instance or just go straight with the letter to the companies requesting refund of the policies I am sure I should not have been paying for, I may have ticked the box on line but would certainly not have been asked for any pre existing medical problems

Thanks for any advice

    Hi there

You can cancel at any time to what I am aware of.

Just as long as you have the account numbers then you can continue to reclaim, also ask them to send you a detailed written breakdown.

You can of course request for a SAR if you want to, its optional and if you do require any further information to help support your cases.
They have 40 days to comply, template of SAR here with details:

    Good luck.
