Hi there i am wanting to start up my own mobile phone selling business selling the latest sim free or unlocked phones to the public via online first then opening a shop if business gets good, just looking for a company etc... so i can get hold of the latest handsets at good wholesale prices as soon or just before they are released, i have been contact before by fraudsters (so many about) so looking for a company to provide me with them any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance

Profit in mobile phones is very slim, and I am speaking through experience.

if it were that easy everyone would be doing it! as the previous poster has said, the margin on sim free mobiles particularly is wafer thin.
Personally, i'm starting to wonder if 'wholesalers' really exist any more - we are predominantly involved in the I.T. sector, and have yet to find any 'wholesaler' who can supply as competitively as the big online players anyway.0 -
Unless you can offer something that the big companies can't, then phone companies are not going to deal with a you as a new set up.
Lots of phone reselling companies have gone to the wall as the occasional cheap phone that crops up on here via a retail source tends to swamp the market and undercut even wholesale prices.
Also don't forget that phones are often seen as a loss leader so sell cheaply purely to get people to sign up for a contract. If you are planning to sell unlocked phones then they will look very expensive compared to one sold online from say Orange or Virgin. Whilst they may be locked many people are able to unlock them and gain the benefit that buying direct from a phone contract company brings.
