Ebay/Paypal - Dont get burned

You may or may not know this but if you're buying from ebay in the UK (at least), always make sure you look for the paypal sign with the paypal shield. I recently bought an Nvidia 7950 GX2 from a guy in the UK who then took the money and didnt send the graphics card to me!
I created a dispute with paypal and in the end i got £105 back of the £275 that I paid. If I had the little shield I would have got all the money back!
I've always believed its been fairly safe on the net to buy but have always been cautious, however it just goes to show you, you have to be extra extra careful nowadays.
LOOK OUT FOR THE EXTRA PAYPAL SHIELD - YOU NEED IT!!

Good advice... have you tried your credit card company? If you funded the payment with a credit card you may be able to get the rest of your dosh back.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Unfortunately not, because it was paid with my debit card and not a credit card, HSBC wont give me any protection.
