Eon now has 79 day quarter for bill?
Just had an email from Eon to view my bill on-line.
But it has just been 79 days since my last bill. Are Eon's quarters shorter for a reason?
It has been calculated on 79 days for the tier one and tier 2 rates.
And I am £50 in credit :j so I wonder if I should phone them up about reducing my direct debit.
Does Eon have an 0800 number?

Hi Stan
Once a billing date has been set, we have 14 days either side of this date to actually issue the bill. This is known as the billing window.
It is to allow meter readings to be received, validated and processed through our system.
Sometimes the info goes through quickly and the bill is raised before the full quarter is up; at other times, the bill may be issued after the full quarter. This will even itself out over a 12 month period.
Was your previous bill for a longer period than the full quarter? If not, I suspect the next one might be.
The tier 1 and tier 2 units will have been calculated on a pro rata basis to take account of the reduced number of days the bill covers.
Following this bill, your Direct Debit will automatically be reviewed to make sure you are on course for a zero balance by the date of your annual review.
Your monthly payments will be reduced if the review shows your account is likely to be in credit by more than a few quid at the annual date.
Sorry for any confusion, Stan. Hope this makes things a little clearer. Give me a shout if you need any more info as will be happy to help.
