Removal company cost from London to Essex ?

Hi everyone

This is a great site, I have received so many useful tips over the last few months, so thought some one might be able to help us with this.

How Much would it cost for a friend to move from London to Essex.

My friend who lives in East Ham, East London wants to move to Southend-on-sea in Essex.

She has furniture for one person one sofa, fridge and bed etc.

Any good removal company's? people have used please recommend.

Thanks in advance everyone for your help :)

Depends on how it is done - could buy a mate a few beers and a takeaway to use the boot of their car, could hire a van and self move or could get a removals firm in. Often with a relatively small amount of belongings it is more cost effective to sell anything large and replace on arrival using eBay. Depends of course on the quality of the bed and sofa. First thing to do is have a massive clear out, no sense in paying to move stuff you don't use.

We moved from Bow to Southend (or just outside) and used Crispins in Hoxton. We had gazillions of books and other assorted junk and they were very reasonable and very helpful.
