Massive save on pet insurance!

IGNORE THIS, I MADE A MISTAKE.

Most home insurance policies cover you for 3rd party public liability, which includes your cat/dog causing, e.g., a car crash. Most pet insurance includes 3rd party cover which IS NOT NEEDED. My Direct line cover is £14/mth but it is only £6/mth without the 3 rd party bit.

Is this a rip off, or have I missed something here?

It isn't a rip off - you don't have to pay for third party cover if you don't need it! (As in your case!)

That really doesn't sound right... their third party liability on pet insurance is penny's a month. Are you sure you've kept everything else the same (not changed from Advanced to Essential or removed theft/loss for example). I would recommend checking that with them again because that just doesn't sound right to me.

it is a rip off as 3rd party cover is standard on pet covers, but not needed by most people...

Deleting the liability cover will save you about 30p a month with DL

DL is not, as far as Im aware, a proper "for life" policy. Have you made any claims on it yet? I mean, if your dog has not been to even see a vet you could swap to a genuine for life policy.

Do cat policies cover third party liability anyway??

    I made a mistake. Sorry!
You are right, 3rd party does not save much, 50 p on DL. I pressed a wrong button and got excited.
