Competition Holiday Disaster - PLEASE HELP!

Hi guys,
Just browsing through what all the lucky peeps had won and saw that some of you were asking what happened.
I got through to the Snday Express who put me in touch with the PR company who were offering the competition.
I got a call from the PR company later that evening - i missed the call but they left a voice message asking me to get in touch the following Monday. I called them as soon as i could on Monday and spoke to a very helpful lady who advised me that i could make a claim through atol (contary to what atol had told me!) she sent me all the relevant paperwork and guided me through the process. I could only claim the value of £570 which i estimate to be about a quarter of the value of the holiday but i am not complaining as it is still money i did not have before. My claim went through without a hitch and about two weeks later the money was deposited in my bank account.
Obviously i am thrilled i got a positive resolution to this but still a bit sad i never got to go on such an amazing holiday as it was definately the kind of holiday i could never afford myself!
Thank you all for your help and kind words. This forum really is amazing.:A

Hi Atomic. Sorry to hear you had about your holiday nightmare. I know you have had some compensation for the loss of your holiday, but as you say it was a once in a lifetime holiday that you cannot afford to replace.
Is it worth contacting the IP's that are dealing with the insolvency, the remainder of the holiday is due and as a creditor you may get something back? Then you can book your own magical holiday.
Just a thought anyway.
Here is hoping that you win another great holiday soon
